About This Program

Aklatan, the Library is envisioned as a modern, welcoming space in Cagayan de Oro that serves as both a repository of knowledge and a gathering place for the community. It will house a curated collection of books in Filipino and English, along with digital resources and study spaces.

Beyond traditional lending services, the library will host reading programs for children, book clubs, educational workshops, and cultural events that bring the community together. A dedicated children's section will feature age-appropriate materials and activities designed to foster a love of reading from an early age.

Aklatan is on track to open in October 2026, bringing a dedicated space for reading, learning, and community gathering to the heart of Cagayan de Oro.
